Premier League Matchday 32 July 1 Betting Preview

Bournemouth vs Newcastle

Time: 1:00 PM EST

Odds: Bournemouth +135, Draw +210, Newcastle +220

Last Game: Newcastle 2 : 1 Bournemouth

Watch: NBC Gold

Bournemouth come into this match following a 1-0 away loss at Wolverhampton.  Bournemouth remain in 18th and are tied with 17th place West Ham on points but behind on goal differential.  Callum Wilson will miss this match due to suspension while fellow forward Joshua King sat out their previous match but may return from injury here.  Philip Billing and Simon Francis are also listed as doubtful for the visitors here.

Newcastle drew 1-1 to Aston Villa in the previous game week.  Newcastle sit in 14th and could jump up to 12th with a win here.  Matt Ritchie is listed as doubtful and Ciaran Clark, Jack Colback and Jetro Willems have all been ruled out.

Bournemouth have struggled at home where they have the 4th worst record in the Premier League and are scoring the 4th fewest goals while allowing the 5th most against at home.  Newcastle have struggled away where they have just the 14th best record and are scoring the 5th fewest goals while allowing the 3rd most against.  Newcastle’s previous visits to the Vitality Stadium have been closely matched affairs with two draws and a win for the visitors in the previous three meetings.  Bournemouth has yet to score since the restart, but has had a longer break between matches with Newcastle playing in FA Cup action over the weekend.  Bournemouth are winless in their previous six matches and will feel the pressure to get a result here.  Bournemouth would normally have the slight edge here but with their star striker sitting out, this match looks likely to end in a draw.

Arsenal vs Norwich City

Time: 1:00 PM EST

Odds: Arsenal -240, Draw +360, Norwich City +650

Last Game: Norwich City 2 : 2 Arsenal

Watch: NBCSN

Arsenal enter this match on the heels of a 2-0 away win over Southampton.  Arsenal now sit in 9th place and are six points back of a European spot.  Mesut Özil, David Luiz, Lucas Torreira and Cédric Soares are all in doubt with knocks and may sit this one out.

Norwich City come into this match following a 1-0 home loss to Everton.  Norwich remain in last place and sit seven points from safety.  Defender Timm Klose is suspended for this match while Grant Hanley, Sam Byram and Christoph Zimmermann have all been ruled out with injuries.

Arsenal have been strong at home where they have the 7th best record and are scoring the 6th most goals but allowing the 7th most against.  Norwich have been poor away this season and have the leagues worst record.  Norwich are scoring the fewest goals while allowing the 6th most away.  This has been a fruitful matchup for the hosts with Arsenal winning five and drawing one in Norwich’s previous six visit to the Emirates.  Arsenal is unbeaten in their last five matches at home and should be expected to take the full three points here.

Everton vs Leicester City

Time: 1:00 PM EST

Odds: Everton +155, Draw +220, Leicester City +190

Last Game: Leicester City 2 : 1 Everton

Watch: NBC GOld

Everton enter this game after beating Norwich City at home 1-0 last week.  Everton now sit in 12th, eight points back from a spot in Europe.  Yerry Mina and Fabian Delph are both nearing a return from injury and will be assessed closer to kick off.

Leicester City drew 0-0 at home to Brighton & Hove Albion last gameweek.  Leicester remain in 3rd but are now just a single point clear of 4th place Chelsea.  James Maddison sat out the Chelsea game over the weekend and will be assessed before kick off with a return for this match looking possible.

Everton have been strong at home and have the 8th best home record in the Premier League, and are allowing the 7th fewest goals against but scoring just the 7th fewest goals at home.  Leicester have been strong away and have the 6th best away record, allowing the 2nd fewest goals against while scoring the 3rd most.  Leicester have the slight edge in their recent visits to Goodison Park, with the Foxes winning three and drawing one of the previous six meetings.  Both sides have been playing solid defense, but Leicester have a clear advantage offensively and should be expected to take a close win from what looks to be a low scoring affair.

West Ham vs Chelsea

Time: 3:15 PM EST

Odds: West Ham +440, Draw +330, Chelsea -170

Last Game: Chelsea 0 : 1 West Ham

Watch: NBCSN

West Ham enter this match following a 2-0 away loss to Tottenham last week.  West Ham remain in 17th, tied with 18th place Bournemouth on points but ahead on goal differential.  Robert Snodgrass will miss this match due to injury, while Sébastien Haller and Arthur Masuaku will have their injuries evaluated closer to game time and may play.

Chelsea come into this game following a 2-1 home win over Manchester City.  Chelsea remain in 3rd but now sit just one point back of 3rd place Leicester.  Fikayo Tomori remains out for the visitors, while Andreas Christensen and Callum Hudson-Odoi are in doubt here.

West Ham have struggled mightily at home and have the 3rd worst record in the league.  The Hammers have played respectable offense, scoring the 8th most goals at home, but defensively they have been porous, allowing the 3rd most goals against.  Chelsea have been excellent away and have the league’s 3rd best away record.  The Blues are scoring the 2nd most goals but allowing the 10th fewest against.  West Ham have had the advantage when hosting Chelsea, with the home side taking three wins and a draw from the previous six matches.  This is generally a close hard fought affair with neither side winning by more than a single goal in the previous six meetings and a combined 28 yellows shown across that span.  Chelsea have been playing well of late, are the better side here and should be expected to win here but it wont come easy.
