Napoli came back to earn a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan in the second leg of the semi-finals to qualify for the final. Keeper David Ospina will sit this one out due to suspension with Alex Meret expected to replace him.
Juventus played to a 0-0 draw with AC Milan that saw The Old Lady advance to the final on away goals. Veterans Giorgio Chiellini and Gonzalo Higuain will not be available and are the only injuries for Juventus of note.
Both clubs have a strong history in this competition with Napoli winning 5 times and Juventus winning 13 times. Both clubs will be hoping a strong performance here helps them gather momentum going into the return of Serie A play this weekend. While Juventus is the clear favorite Napoli has consistently played the Turin side close with five of the last six games being decided by a single goal. Napoli got the best of Juventus the last time these two sides met in January. Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri spent three years at the helm of Napoli so he will be intimately familiar with their personnel, similarly Napoli will be familiar with Sarri’s brand of football and understand how to best attack it. The lion’s share of Napoli’s goals have come from Lorenzo Insigne, so expect Juventus to focus on shutting him down. Juventus have the bigger names and as winners of four of the last five Coppa Italias their experience might just be what gives them the edge to get the win in what should be a close hard fought game.
