FA Cup Quarterfinal June 27 Betting Preview

Norwich City vs Manchester United

Time: 12:30 PM EST

Odds: Norwich City +600, Draw +310, Manchester United -240

Watch: ESPN+

This will be Norwich’s first home match of the competition, having faced Preston, Burnley and Tottenaham away.  Daniel Farke’s rotated some key attacking players in midweek, so the hosts should be fresh for this one.  Those roster decisions also seem to indicate that Norwich are not treating the FA Cup as a distraction to their survival bid in the Premier League.  Norwich enter this match on a three game losing streak in the Premier League.

Manchester United faces a Premier League side for the first time since their first round matchup against Wolves, having faced League One side Tranmere Rovers and Championship side Derby in the two previous rounds.  It looks like Manchester will play a rotated side here as their focus is now securing a top 4 finish in the premier league.  Jesse Lingard looks likely to feature for the visitors here while Phil Jones remains doubtful.

Even with a rotated side, Manchester United will still have the advantage in quality here.  Norwich haven’t been strong at home in the league this year, maybe if they had the benefit of their supporters in Carrow Road they would have a chance to pull off the upset but given their recent form and home record that looks unlikely.  Expected United to come out on top on this one in what looks to be a close hard fought match.
