Alavés dropped 2-0 to Espanyol in their return to La Liga football on the weekend.  Alavés come into this game in 15th, sitting seven points above the drop zone.  Starting keeper Fernando Pacheco will miss this match due to suspension and Manu García is listed as doubtful.

Real Sociedad came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Osasuna over the weekend.  Real Sociedad enter this game in 5th place, tied with 5th place Getafe on points but ahead on goal differential, a win here would see them jump to 4th and back into a Champions League spot.

Real Sociedad have enjoyed their recent visits to Alavés, winning four straight.  This has been a close low scoring matchup historically with a combined ten goals in the last six meetings, and a combined five clean sheets.  Alavés are unbeaten in their last three home games and have allowed the 5th fewest goals against.  Expect a close low scoring game

Real Madrid vs Valencia

Odds: Real Madrid -270, Draw +440, Valencia +650

Last Game: Valencia 1 : 3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid cruised to a 3-1 victory at home over Eibar in their return to La Liga action on the weekend.  Real Madrid remain in 2nd, and will need a win here to keep pace with Barcelona.   Luka Jovic remains out while Daniel Carvajal remains doubtful.

Valencia conceded a late goal to rivals Levante in the Valencian Derby to draw 1-1 on the weekend.  Valencia sit in 8th and are only a single point from a European spot.  Ezequiel Garay has been ruled out and Gabriel Paulista’s injury will be evaluated closer to game time.

Valencia have struggled in their recent trips to the Bernabéu going winless with three draws in their last six visits.  Those matches have been high scoring affairs, seeing an average of 3.66 goals scored per match.  Real Madrid are unbeaten at home this campaign.  Valencia rank 4th in goals scored away from home, while Real Madrid have allowed the 4th fewest goals against at home.  Expect Valencia to keep this one close with a full strength Real Madrid getting the win at home.
