Manchester City enter this game following a 3-0 home win over Arsenal last week.  City remain in 2nd, and with Liverpool’s title looking inevitable City will just be hoping to delay those celebrations a bit longer.  Eric García is not expected to play after suffering a head injury when he collided with Emerson in the Arsenal match.

Burnley return to Premier League action in 11th place and sit seven points back from a European spot.  Ashley Barnes is out with an injury and while Chris Wood and Jóhann Gudmundsson returned to training this week they are not expected to be available to play.

Manchester City have won five straight at home over Burnley, and Burnley have only manages a single win in their previous 23 meetings.  City have been stellar at home again this year, ranking 2nd in goals for and tied for 1st in fewest goals against.  Burnley have been an average team on the road where they rank 14th in goals for and 8th in goals against.  Burnley came into the break on a seven game unbeaten streak in the league and will hope to carry that momentum through to this match.  Burnley missing their top two strikers will make securing any points against a full strength Manchester City side a tall order.  Expect Pep to rotate his midfield and forwards for this one.  A comfortable City win looks like the most likely outcome in this one.
