Premier League Matchday 31 June 23 Betting Preview

Leicester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Time: 1:00 PM EST

Odds: Leicester City -145, Draw +270, Brighton & Hove Albion +440

Last Game: Brighton & Hove Albion 0 : 2 Leicester City

Watch: NBCSN

Leicester enter this match following a 1-1 draw away at Watford.  Leicester remain in 3rd but now sit just three points ahead of 4th place Chelsea.  Dennis Praet is doubtful with a nagging calf injury.

Brighton & Hove Albion on the heels of a controversial 2-1 win at home over Arsenal.  Brighton now sit in 15th and are only five points clear of the drop zone.  Steven Alzate is listed as doubtful for the visitors.

Leicester have had the best of this matchup when facing Brighton at the King Power Stadium, taking four and drawing one over the last six.  Leicester has kept a clean sheet in four of those matches.  Leicester have the 3rd best home record in the Premier League, and have scored the 3rd most goals at home.  Brighton have struggled away from home this year where they have the 5th worst record this campaign, and are winless in their last seven matches.  Leicester are the better side and should be expected to get the win here.

Tottenham vs West Ham

Time: 3:15 PM EST

Odds: Tottenham -160, Draw +290, West Ham +450

Last Game: West Ham 2 : 3 Tottenham

Watch: NBCSN

Tottenham come into this game following a 1-1 draw at home against Manchester United.  Tottenham now sit in 8th and are four points from a European berth.  Dele Alli returns from suspension for this match, while Lucas Moura is listed as doubtful and will be evaluated closer to game time.

West Ham enter this match following a 2-0 loss at home to Wolverhampton.  West Ham sit in 17th, tied with 18th place Bournemouth on points but ahead on goal differential.  Sebastien Haller, Pablo Zabaleta, Arthur Masuaku and Angelo Ogbonna all sat out for the Wolverhampton game and may be out here as well.  Robert Snodgrass is listed as doubtful with a back issue and will be assessed closer to gametime.

Lately these two sides have been evenly matched when West Ham travels to Tottenham, with each side winning two games and two draws in the last six meetings.  Tottenham have played well at home this year, earning them the 5th best home record in the league and scoring the 5th most goals at home this campaign.  West Ham have struggled away this year, where they’ve lost six straight, and only five clubs have collected fewer points on the road than them.  West Ham usually put up a good fight in London derbys, but given their injury concerns and Tottenham being at full strength a win for the visitors looks unlikely here.  Expect a hard fought match with Tottenham coming out on top.
