Inter Milan vs Sassuolo

Time: 1:30 PM EST

Odds: Inter Milan -230, Draw +350, Sassuolo +600

Last Game: Sassuolo 3 : 4 Inter Milan

Watch: ESPN +

Inter Milan enter this match following a 2-1 win at home over Sampdoria.  Inter remain in 3rd and sit five points back of 2nd place Lazio. Marcelo Brozovic has been ruled out for the home side in this one, and Lautaro starts this match on the bench.

Sassuolo enter this match on the heels of a 4-1 away loss to Atalanta.  Sassuolo sit in 12th seven points from a European berth.  Marlon Santos is out with a suspension and Filippo Romagna has been ruled out with injury.

Sassuolo has enjoyed their recent trips to the San Siro, unbeaten in their last four matches with three wins and a draw.  Inter have been strong at home this campaign where they have the 3rd best record and have scored the 6th most goals while allowing the 3rd fewest.  Sassuolo have struggled away where they have the 15th best record, scoring the 6th fewest goals and allowing the 9th most goals against.  Inter will benefit from already having played two competitive matches.  With Eriksen beginning to gel with Inter’s forwards the home side has looked stronger in attack of late and should be expected to take the full three points here.

Atalanta vs Lazio

Time: 3:45 PM EST

Odds: Atalanta +115, Draw +270, Lazio +210

Last Game: Lazio 3 : 3 Atalanta

Watch: ESPN

Atalanta enter this match following a 4-1 win at home over Sassuolo.  Atalanta sit in 4th six points above 5th place Roma.  Mario Pasalic will miss this match due to suspension.

Lazio return to Serie A action in 2nd and will need a win here to stay within a point of Juventus.  Lucas Leiva and Luiz Felipe have both been ruled out for the visitors.

This has been an evenly matched affair when played in Bergamo, with each side taking two wins and two draws in the previous six meetings.  Atalanta have been strong at home where they have the 5th best record in Serie A, scoring the 2nd most goals while conceding the 11th most.  Lazio have also been strong away where they have the 4th best record and have scored the 6th most goals and conceded the fewest.  Atalanta will have a slight edge in form here having already played a competitive match, while Lazio will have a motivational edge as any losses at this point will put their title hopes in severe jeopardy.  A draw looks like the most likely outcome between these two top sides.

Roma vs Sampdoria

Time: 3:45 PM EST

Odds: Roma -210, Draw +350, Sampdoria +550

Last Game: Sampdoria 0 : 0 Roma

Watch: ESPN +

Roma return to play in 5th place and sit six points back of a Champions League spot.  Nicolò Zaniolo is still recovering from injury and will not play while Davide Zappacosta is expected to return from injury and slot into the starting lineup for this one.

Sampdoria come into this match on the heels of a 2-1 away loss at Inter Milan. Sampdoria sit in 16th just one point above the relegation zone.  Sampdoria are dealt a serious blow here as top scorer Fabio Quagliarella is ruled out for this match.

Sampdoria have struggled in their previous trips to the capital, with Roma winning four of the last six meetings.  Roma have been strong at home where they have the 6th best home record and have scored the 4th most goals while allowing the 6th fewest against.  Sampdoria have struggled away where they have the 3rd worst record in Serie A and scoring the 5th fewest goals while allowing the 5th most goals against.  Roma will miss Zaniolo’s presence in midfield, but not as much as Sampdoria will miss Quagliarella up top.  Expect an comfortable win for the home side in this one.
